Omekashi

Privacy

Last updated October 20, 2026.

Omekashi is a private app for small groups of friends, published by Lima Sky LLC. It is built so that the people in your group are the only people who can see what you post, with one exception, which is a post somebody has reported. This page says exactly what is stored, who can reach it, and how to get rid of it.

Where this page says “we”, it means Lima Sky LLC, who decides what is collected and is responsible for looking after it.

What is stored

Only what you type in or upload:

  • Your account. A username you choose, and a password. The password is never stored — only a scrypt hash of it, which cannot be turned back into your password.
  • Your profile. An emoji or a photo, and nothing else. No real name, no email address, no phone number. We never ask for them and there is nowhere to put them.
  • What you post. Fit photos and captions, pieces you submit, grails, closet items, puzzle crops and answers, reactions and votes, and which groups you are in.
  • Measurements, if you enter them. Height, chest, shoulder, sleeve and inseam, used by the Finder to tell you how something fit somebody built like you. This is optional, it lives in the group you entered it in, and you can clear it at any time.

What is not stored

  • No email address, no phone number, no real name, no address, no payment details.
  • No location. The app never asks for it.
  • No contacts, no photo library access beyond the single image you pick when you post.
  • No analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. Nothing you do here is measured, profiled or sent to anybody whose business is data. The iOS app contains one piece of software we did not write — the part that registers for Apple’s notifications — and it sends nothing anywhere except the address above, to Apple.

Who can see it

There is no content outside of groups. Every post carries the group it was made in, and every page checks that you are currently in that group before it shows you anything. Somebody who is not in your group gets the same answer as somebody asking for a group that does not exist. Photos work the same way: the image itself is only served to people currently in the group it was posted to.

Leaving a group ends your access to it immediately. Your profile shows only the groups you and the person looking are both in, never the rest.

The exception is a report. When somebody in your group reports a post, that post — the photograph, the words, the reason given and who posted it — is shown to the person who runs the group and to us, so that one of us can act on it. Nothing that has not been reported leaves the group, and a report never shows anybody who the reporter was, except to us.

How long it is kept

  • Posts last 7 days. Fits, Cop? pieces and Guess puzzles leave the app after a week, and a nightly job then deletes the photograph, the caption and the text from the database. What remains is a dated record that you posted, with no content in it, because that is what your score is counted from.
  • One fit a week is kept. Each group votes for a fit of the week. The fit that wins stays — photograph, caption and all — on that group’s Kept page, where only that group can see it, including people who join later. If a week is split, each of them is kept. It is the only post in the app that outlives its week, and whoever posted it can delete it at any time, from the fit itself, like any other post.
  • Closet items and grails stay until you delete them. They are lists of what you own and what you want, not a feed.
  • Your account stays until you delete it.

Deleting your account

Account, then Delete account. It is immediate and it cannot be undone. It removes your account and everything of yours: your posts, photos, measurements, reactions and votes — including any fit of yours a group has kept — and your membership of every group.

One thing survives on purpose: a Guess puzzle you set that other people have already played stays, with your name taken off it. Deleting it would erase everybody else’s answers for that day and quietly change their streaks, which is their record and not yours to take. A fit of yours that took a week is not in that category: it goes with your account like everything else.

Cookies

One, called fc_session. It holds your member number and which generation of sign-in it belongs to, signed so it cannot be altered, and it is what keeps you signed in. It is not used for tracking and there is nothing else in it. Signing out deletes it from that phone, and changing your password retires every one of them except the phone you changed it from.

Where it lives

The app runs on Vercel and the database is Neon, both in the United States. They host the app and store the data on Lima Sky LLC’s behalf and do not use it for anything else. No other company receives any of it.

Children

Omekashi is not intended for children under 13, or under 16 in Australia and Vietnam, and accounts should not be made for them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Nothing here will start applying retroactively to data that was collected under different terms.
